If you have never worked with an interior stylist virtually, the unknowns can be a little daunting, so I thought I would walk you through a recent e-design project I had a lot of fun working on. Every project is different and yours may have more or less steps, but no matter what, the process is super easy, fun and affordable!

Before: Functional yet dated spicy red powder room with gold and chrome accents.

Client Requests: Bathroom to coordinate with gorgeous gray and ivory damask wallpaper on order. Would love a modern space that isn't going to read "old" with the damask wallpaper. Vanity and toilet to remain.

Step 1: Client Takes Interior Style Questionnaire & Purchases Service. This particular service was "The Spruce".

Step 2: I begin scouring dozens of sources for requested items and send the client the first design board. Client then has the option to accept or reject all items with the click of a button.

Step 3: I import the actual wallpaper the client has ordered, as well as an actual photo of the wallpaper (often both are slightly different than what you'd see if you were looking at it in person due to screen variation, shadows, lighting, etc., and I work hard to make sure the design I create works well either way). I get rid of the mirrors the client has rejected and source rugs and hardware. Client again accepts items she likes and rejects items she doesn't.

Step 4: I source wall art choices, which the client then accepts or rejects.

Step 5: I finalize the design board by adding all of the client's approved items and some final touches. For a bird's eye view, floor-plan, styling tips on how to implement the design and other great features, simply purchase "The Sycamore". I send the design, along with a clickable shopping list, back to the client for final approval.

After: Neutral-modern-glam powder room with sleek chrome accents.

The client is happy and so am I! Click here to take my Interior Style Questionnaire and begin your room transformation today! And don't forget to subscribe to my blog below so you never miss a post!
